eric Asay, dds
Dr. Asay has over 30 years of experience practicing dentistry. He grew up on a ranch in Wyoming. He achieved his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree in 1989 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. As an undergraduate, he studied zoology at Brigham Young University in Provo. Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Asay has consistently attended continuing education courses so he can give his patients the latest, most effective dental treatments available today. With his advanced training, he is able to place and restore dental implants, provide periodontal care, and offer IV sedation to his patients. He is also certified by the state of Idaho to evaluate dental offices throughout the state and verify their standard of care. As an active member of the dental community, he maintains membership in the American Dental Association and the Idaho Dental Association.
Dr. Asay has been married since 1986 to Vicki Mercer Asay. They have four children: Whitney, Patrick, Jillian, and Spencer. Dr. Asay and his family enjoy beach combing and they also stay involved in church activities. Gardening, biking, hiking, and geode and fossil hunting are some of the other activities Dr. Asay enjoys in his free time. Patients appreciate Dr. Asay’s approachable personality and the family-friendly atmosphere of his practice.
Vicki
Vicki was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. She attended Brigham Young University where she met her husband, Dr. Eric Asay. She and Dr. Asay spent time in Utah and Nebraska before settling in Nampa, ID where they have lived since 1985. Together they have raised 4 children and have 4 grandchildren. Vicki enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking, and binge watching Netflix.
Martie
Martie’s southern charm stems from her Arkansas roots (Go Razorbacks!). She attended Arkansas State University before she moved around between Arkansas, Utah, and Idaho with her husband. She settled in Nampa in 1989 and has since raised 4 children and gained 6 grandchildren. Martie joined Dr. Asay’s team in 1992 and has loved getting to know our many patients personally over the years. Martie is a huge sports fan and enjoys reading, sewing, and following politics.
Hilda, RDH
Hilda was born and raised in Caldwell, ID. She attended Vallivue High School and later Idaho State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1986. In 2009, she started at Asay Dental where she enjoys one on one time with patients and learning how to help them. Hilda and her husband have 2 children. Hilda loves anything that has to do with organizing, decorating, and painting.
MonicA
Monica was born and raised in Idaho where she graduated from Skyview High School. Following high school, she received dental assistant training at The Academy of Professional Careers in 2005. Monica has been a part of Dr. Asay’s practice since 2007. Her favorite part about working in the dental field is helping people with dental phobias and changing the way they view dentistry. Monica’s hobbies include baking, going to the movies, party planning, and making Dutch Bros runs (she secretly wants to work there). Having been married since 2008, Monica has 3 amazing kids that make for a loud and crazy house, but she wouldn’t want it any other way.
Brandie, RDH
Brandie was born in Idaho Falls and raised in Nampa where she attended Kuna High School. Following graduation, she attended Carrington College where she received her degree in dental hygiene in 2004. Brandie has worked at Asay Dental since 2006 and loves her profession because she gets to help others while building relationships and friendships with her patients. When Brandie isn’t in the dental office, she is reading, swimming, fishing, biking, shopping, traveling, playing candy crush, and spending time with her husband and 2 kids at the movies, baseball games, and water park. Brandie thinks the office is the best show on Netflix and men’s cologne smells way better than women’s!
Jill
Jill was born and raised in Nampa where she attended Liberty Charter High School. Following graduation, she moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young University where she played college rugby. Her other hobbies include Netflix, Costco, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog. Jill began working at Asay Dental in 2015 and has enjoyed getting to know all the patients that come through the office.
MELISSA
Melissa is a Nampa High School graduate and attended Apollo College for dental assisting in 2006. She was a dental assistant for 11 years before transitioning to the front office, joining our team in 2019. Melissa has loved every part of working in the dental office. She loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and having her extended family nearby. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, crocheting, traveling, watching football, and seeing her kids in sports.
Joanna, RDH
Joanna graduated locally at Columbia High School and received her Bachelor of Dental Hygiene degree at Idaho State University in 2015. She joined Asay Dental in 2017 and has enjoyed working in a team setting as well as educating patients about oral health. Her hobbies include zumba, yoga, hiking and loving her cat.
Andrea, RDH
Andrea has lived in Idaho all her life. She went to high school at Vallivue High School and later Idaho State University for her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Andrea has been working in the dental hygiene field since 2005 and joined Dr. Asay’s team in 2016. Between all her school and work, Andrea learned to speak Spanish and served an LDS mission in Argentina for 18 months before she was a hygienist. She also married a wonderful husband and is currently raising 4 children. She loves camping, reading, and spending time with her family.
Alexandria, RDH
Alexandria grew up in Ogden, UT. She has a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Philosophy from Carroll College in Helena, MT. In 2019, she received her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Carrington College and began at Asay Dental shortly after. She still finds herself feeling shocked and excited to have her dream job as a dental hygienist. Her favorite part about working in the dental field is having the opportunity to connect with others in the community and help improve their health. Alexandria enjoys road trips with her boyfriend, golfing, watching the office, and snuggling with her cat and dog.
